Scope and Content

This correspondence covers the arrangements made for the 1992 annual exhibition and correspondence relating to an exhibition entitled "Retrospective". This was a commemorative exhibition of the art work of Betty Mandelson (founder of the group) who died in 1991. Her art work was displayed within the annual exhibition. There is also correspondence relating to the memorial fund set up in her name to help fund mature art students. A list of correspondents is included below:

Administrative / Biographical History

The University of Liverpool Women's Club originated as the University Staff At Home [Club] probably in the early 1920s, being known as the University Ladies' Tea Club from 1938-39 onwards until 1964 when the current title was adopted.
