150 volumes of 17th-19th century mathematics books, including works by Isaac Newton, from the Grace Library of the Department of Applied Mathematics.

Landmark texts include Gauss, Disquisitiones arithmeticae (1801) and works by Laplace, Legendre and Lacroix. Section AN, books by and about Isaac Newton, came from the collection of Walter Stott, a Liverpool actuary, and was bequeathed to the Grace Library by Duncan Fraser. The collection, acquired in 1944, was transferred from the Ashton building in 1973.
